Season Photos

Below is information that was sent to me from an individual that took pictures throughout the season.  Please contact her if there are any questions.
Thanks,
Denny

Here is the link to the 2022 Track and Field photos that I was able to capture. You may share this with your respective teams (Boys and Girls). I have posted low-resolution photos for anyone to download at no cost. However, if anyone wishes to purchase a full resolution file or a print, I need to first collect a photo release (a link is posted on my site to collect this). This is different than last year due to a conversation I had with the activities director Curt during the basketball season.

To help protect the student athletes, I have made these galleries "Private". This means that while there isn't a password required to access or download the photos, a direct link or URLis required to access them. The photos will not show up in a search on my site or through Google. As coaches, you may use any of these photos for advertising the team, recognition or anything else you would like. The resolution is established to work well for online media. If you need a full resolution file for anything, just let me know.

In case you need the full url:

Have a great summer and thanks for letting me capture some of the fun!

Parents are allowed to come, but remember this is a very laid back affair. Thanks, Denny

State Finals

Congratulations to both Kennedy Martinson and Grace Kehr as they finished their seasons off both as All State Athletes in their events at today's State Meet!!  Kennedy finished the State Meet as one of the top point getters finishing in 2nd place in Pole Vault (the highest a Coon Rapids Girl has ever finished in Pole Vault), and 3rd in both the 100 Hurdles (resetting her own School Record) and the 300 Hurdles in an All time PR, getting All State in all 3 events.  Grace finished her High School career with a new All Time Best height, finishing in 7th (2nd highest placing in CR History in PV) to earn her All State honor!  The two of them also helped the team finish in a very respectable 11th place overall at State as a team out of the 46 schools that scored points, the highest finish for Coon Rapids since 2002!

Congrats and a huge Thank You to Coaches Patti and Jason for all of their hard work and dedication to the Girls that have come through our program and as they helped these two reach the heights they have at the State level!! It is always fun to see the Girls have success and they cannot always do so without coaches that have dedicated themselves to their events like these two have!!

Thanks to all for all of the support!

Kennedy got off to a good start today in Prelims at the State Meet.  She qualified for the finals in both the 100 hurdles (3rd fastest time) and the 300 hurdles (fastest time in Prelims).  She will compete in the finals for both of those events, as well as Pole Vault with Grace Kehr on Saturday afternoon/evening.

You can see all of the Prelim results as well as follow along with the meet on Saturday at https://results.wayzatatiming.com/meets/17032

Great Work Kennedy!

Section Results

On a night that we had the best weather that we have had all season, the Girls put together their best overall meet on the season!  Times were fast, distances and heights were further, and the energy was positive!

Congratulations to both Grace Kehr and Kennedy Martinson as they have advanced onto the State Meet next Thursday and Saturday at St. Michael/Albertville High School.  Grace finished in 3rd place in Pole Vault, but earned her way to State by Vaulting over the State Qualifying Standard of 11 ft, 1 inch.  Kennedy won the 100 Hurdles, the 300 Hurdles and the Pole Vault to score the most points of any athlete, female or male, at the meet, and set a new school record in the 100 Hurdles in Prelims on Wednesday and set a new school record in Pole Vault tonight, becoming the first Cardinal female to go over 12 feet!

Other top finishers were Mikayla de Souza who finished 3rd in both the 100 and 200 in all time best times, just missing Qualifying in both.  She also anchored the 4x100 team with Molly Knoblauch, Rory Ruotsinoja and Bailey Rauh, to a 4th place finish, dropping nearly 2 seconds in time.  Rory also moved up 4 places and added over a foot in Triple Jump to earn 8th place and Molly ran an all time best in the 100 to finish in 9th.  The 4x800 relay team of Ava Kehr, Megan Fuller, Ruby Demmer and Tessa Del Fratte also finished in 6th place to earn a medal.

Thanks to all of those that not only came out tonight to support the Girls, but all who have throughout the whole season!!  It was a fun season and one that we will hope to build off!

Thanks,
Denny
