If yesterday is the last JV Meet of the season, then the girls had their best day of the season and ended on a very positive note. There were no meet results kept, but as we competed and watched how each event played out, we definitely would have finished in a high position as a team! The other nice thing that occurred is that a few girls will be making pushes to be on the Section Team with how they competed and their times/marks. With that, we as a coaching staff hope that all of the girls continue to practice for the next two weeks plus and continue to improve and show to us that they do want to be apart of the Section Team. We had to have names and times/marks in for the NWSC Meet next week, before the start of the JV Conference Meet, so some spots would have changed with how the girls competed. I will let them all know at practice today, and forewarn the Varsity team that the JV may be taking some of their spots!
Tomorrow's meet is planned to go. It appears that there will be a chance of rain/storms, but the meet will go on as planned unless there is a complete down pour, or if there is lightning, in which case we will need to wait a half an hour from the last strike of lightning. The Meet Directors will make that decision.
I will be putting the time schedule for next weeks NWSC Meet up on Sunday so no one is confused with tomorrow's schedule. One thing of note though, the 3200m Run will be on Tuesday, and the 1600m Run and all Relay's will be on Thursday.
Finally, in a couple of hours I will be posting information about the end of season banquet. The date for this year is Monday, June 10, and it will be held in the CRHS cafeteria at 6:00pm.
If you have any questions about any of this, please let me know,
Thanks
Denny
