Good Afternoon,
So I have been continuing to work on the blog and have made a few changes. At the top of the blog, there are four links to general results, not only for our athletes, but also for all of those in the State. If we come across a meet that uses a different site, I will add that as well.
Also, on the right side of the blog page, there are a couple of new things. At the top is a link to our all-time records, and below that will be where I post our results. Sometimes it will be just our team results, sometimes it may be the meet results, depending on what I have access to. I am still working on all of this, so if things change, I will let you know.
As for the results that I posted so far. What is currently on the list is our times from Friday's U of M Indoor. I have not received all of our field event results, so I have not posted those yet. I am hoping to post those by tomorrow, Monday. Once again, there were not any over all meet results, thus no team scores.
If you have any questions, please let me know,
Thanks
Denny

Friday Results
Good Morning,
There were not any overall meet results for last nights meet. I am going to work on finding a way to get our results posted on here soon.
But it was a positive start to the season with some nice surprises from the new girls, and some solid performances from those returning. We are hoping to build off do the performances that we have started with and hope to translate it to the outdoors!
Despite the snow, we are still scheduled for next meet, which is Tuesday at Centennial. I will be posting the information for that meet on Monday, and let everyone know of any changes that may occur.
Any questions though, please let me know,
Thanks,
Denny Green

Friday
Below is the tentative schedule of events for Friday's meet. The meet is at the University of Minnesota Fieldhouse off of University Avenue (directions below as well).
We have the field house from 7:00-10:00, so we will be getting home a bit late. Please make sure that you have rides set for your athlete if you are not able to be there when the buses get back, around 10:30. Also, if you are intending to bring your athlete home from the meet, either before it is over or after the last event, I will need a note from a parent that the athlete will be going home with a parent. If I do not have a note, I will have them go home on the bus. Also, only parents and family can bring athletes home, not friends or a friends parent. If you have any questions, please let me know,
Thanks

Parent Meeting
March is coming quick, and hopefully Spring will come just as quickly! With this though, the season is coming up just as quickly. We are a week and a half away from the beginning of the 2014 Girls Track and Field season, and there are a few things that I need to cover.
1. The student/athlete meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 5 during Alt Period at school. I will give out basic information and when practices will begin.
2. The all Spring Sport Parent Meeting will also be on Wednesday, March 5th at 7:00. This meeting will be held in the high school auditorium and there will be individual sport meetings to follow. I will cover a few items, such as start of the season, the Parent Handbook, and Fundraising, which will be selling t-shirts again.
3. To go along with this, the season will begin on Monday, March 10. This is Spring Break, but the State High School League does not dictate when the seasons begin based on our Spring Break, it just happens to be the same time. But, we will be having practices and they will be from 11:00 to about 2:00, depending on what events everyone chooses to do and which coaches can be there. We will also only go Monday thru Thursday.
If there are any questions, please feel free to let me know,
Thanks and lets hope for some warmer weather soon and the ability to go outside and work on the track and grass again!

Thank You!
Thank you to everyone for the season we were able to have this year! Congratulations to all of the girls for all of their successes, and thank you for all of the hard work that was put in!
Congrats to Courtney for being a two time State runner-up and three time All-State performer in shot put!
Thank you for all the support from all the parents and thank you to the coaches that put forth a great amount of energy to help the girls get through this tough year!
If there is anything any of you would wish to see next year, please let me know. I hope to improve this site so it becomes a better line of communication.
Thank you,
Denny

State
The Girls Track and Field team ended their team season on
Friday at the Section 5AA Meet tying for 8th out of 16 teams.
This was by far the best overall meet for the team with many season or personal
bests and with the team gaining more points than what was expected!
Congratulations to Amber Harris and Courtney Pasiowitz for qualifying for the
State Meet this coming Friday and Saturday. Amber finished in 2nd
place in the 300m hurdles and will be returning for the 2nd year in
a row, and Courtney repeated as Section Champion and also set a new Section
Record in the Shot Put and will be returning to try for a 3rd
All-State Performance. Below is a link to the heat sheets for the State Meet, so you can see where the girls are compared to the rest of the individuals who have made it to State.

Also, please remember that our Team Banquet will be on Monday, Jun 3rd at 6:00pm in the High School Cafeteria. The girls have chosen to have a more formal affair and a Pot Luck meal. Please refer to the earlier post in regards to what to bring.
Thanks for all of your support this season and if there are any questions, please let me know!
