Armstrong Results
Results from last nights Triangular at Armstrong are now posted under our Team Results. No official meet results were kept, so can tell you how we placed as a team.
But, there were many solid performances and improvements, thus making the decisions for next weeks Conference Meet more challenging, which is always a good thing.
Next up is the JV Conference Meet on Thursday at Elk River. Anyone that is not competing in the Conference Meet, as well as a few others, will be in this meet. It will be the last chance for some girls to give themselves a chance at a spot for the Conference and possibly Section Teams.
As of right now, with the predicted weather for Thursday, we are still a go, but if anything changes, I will let you know. It will be a normally scheduled meet with some of the distance events combined between the boys and girls to help the meet move along quicker.
If there are any questions on anything, please let me know,
Denny

Armstrong Tri
The Armstrong Tri on Tuesday is scheduled as normal, with a normal
schedule of events, starting at 3:45. The bus will be leaving at 2:35,
so the girls will not be getting out of school early. This is also a
Varaity/JV meet, so everyone will be competing. If there are any
changes, I will let you know as soon as I find out.
Any questions, please let me know.
Thanks

Meet Results
Good News, I was finally able to find a way to add the overall meet results to our blog page! These are the results that you cannot find on one of the links that we have set up on our page. You can now find them on the right under Meet Results, below our Team Results. Results that you can find there now are the 2 Centennial Tri's, the Centennial 9/10, the Mega Meet, and the True Team Section Meet. There will be boys results in with them as well.
If you have any questions about any of this, please let me know,
Thanks

Section 4AAA True Team Results
Results for our team are now posted on the right. I am working on getting the overall meet results posted, as well as those from Saturday since they have still not been posted on the site I sent out earlier.
On an overall, there were many positives in last nights meet. The team finished in 6th place out of 9 teams, a place we were hoping would have been higher, but one that we showed a lot of improvements on as well as some top end places.
Next up is the JV True Team meet that is to be Anoka High School on Thursday. We have not received any information on this meet yet, but it is to be starting at 3:30 and will be an open event for our athletes that will be going. It will not, however, be scored. This allows us to get as many individuals into events and also not be there forever. Once I find out more on what is happening, I will let you know.
Thanks,
Denny

Section 4AAA True Team Meet
Tuesday is the True Team Section Meet at Elk River. Boys Pole Vault will start at 12:00, while the rest of the events will start at 3:45. The Boys Pole Vaulters will be the only ones that will be at the meet at noon, the rest will arrive later. We will only be allowed to have 3 athletes per individual events and 1 team per relay events.
There will be a normal schedule of events, but the scoring for this meet will be different. In your normal scored meets, only the top so many will receive points. In a true team meet, everyone will get a point, no matter where they finish, unless an athlete is disqualified or does not complete/receive a mark for their event. First place will get the most points, last place the fewest. Being that there will be 9 teams in our Section, and 3 athletes per individual events, 1st place will receive 27 points, and 27th place would get 1 point. If there are only 25 individuals in an event, 1st place would still get 27 points, and the last place finisher would get 3 points.
For the four Relay events, the point total is a bit different. First place would get 36 points (9 teams, 4 individuals on each team), and second place would get 32, on down to 9th place getting 4 points. So, it becomes a fun challenge on deciding where you put athletes as well as what other teams will do with their athletes.
The winner of this meet will qualify for the True Team State Meet. No individuals will qualify from this, and this is not what determines who goes to the State meet at the end of the season. This is a different State Meet.

There will be a charge to enter:
$6.00 adults and $4.00 for students. Spectators should enter between the tennis courts. There will also be concessions.
Also, here are the directions to Elk River's Stadium:
900 School Street, Elk River, 55330. Go West on Hwy 10 to Elk River. Take a right on Jackson St. Take a left onto School St. School will be on the right, the stadium and parking are about ¼ mile past Jackson
If you have any questions, please let me know.
