The Results from Tuesdays Section 4AAA True Team Meet are posted on the right side of the blog. The team finished 9th out of 10 teams, and even though we did not have our best day, and it was the first time we competed in warmer weather, the Girls competed hard and there was improvement in many events. We competed against a few teams that are much more veteran teams with more depth, something that we are working on getting back to, plus we were missing a few individuals that could have helped gain a few more points. We are very young and inexperienced but the Girls worked and were not intimidated. It is a fun group with potential and so many of them are wanting to get better. These meets need to happen sometimes to show everyone what is still needed, and we will keep doing what we can to help them improve.
For the JV True Team Meet at Anoka on Thursday, this will be a regular meet with the order of events being the same as all of our meets so far. We will be watching the weather throughout the day and if there are any changes, delays, or cancelations, I will let everyone know as soon as I hear. It is going to be very warm and with the humidity making it much warmer, we will be watching over the girls more closely and if we feel someone is struggling due to the weather we will pull them from a race. Please make sure everyone brings plenty of water, sun screen, and other sun protection for there is not much shade at Anoka.
