Andover JV Results

Results for tonight's JV meet at Andover are now posted to the right.  There were no overall meet results however.
But, despite the lack of overall meet results, it was a very positive meet in which there were many girls that ran, jumped, threw new personal bests!  It is a great positive for the team when so many of the young athletes and those still learning made such improvements again.  It helps to know that we are growing and that our depth is getting better and that we are getting better as an overall team at the right time.
Any questions, please let me know,
Denny

Andover JV

Sorry for the lateness of this, but the JV Meet at Andover will be using a normal schedule of events with some events being combined with the boys (1600, 3200, etc)
Also, the meet will not be starting until 3:45.  This was changed from what was on the schedule.  I hope this does not create an issues and once again sorry for not notifying everyone sooner.
Thanks
Denny

Blaine Invite Results

Overall meet results for last nights Blaine Invite can be found above by clicking on Prime Time Timing and then clicking on results. Our individual results are posted on the right.
As a team we finished in 4th out of the 6 teams.  It was an all around solid performance and much better than what we have done so far this season, which is big positive because it allows to see that we are moving in the right direction.  There were many girls that were given opportunities in events that they haven't been in or being given the chance to do at the Varsity level, that really showed big improvements and handled the pressure of a Varsity only meet well.
But, there are still many things that we need to improve on.
The Andover JV Meet will be the next meet up, Thursday, starting at 3:45.  The schedule of events is the normal schedule, with some of the events being combined between the boys and girls.
Any questions, please let me know,
Thanks
Denny

Centennial 9/10 - Hamline Elite

busy last couple of days with younger members of the team competing in the Centennial 9/10 Meet on Thursday and Kalley Harris competing Friday night at the Hamline Elite Meet against some of the top in the state.
Our individual results are now posted for Thursday's meet.  As for team results, I will get those up soon but we  placed 8th out of 8 teams, but we didn't bring any of our distance team and actually kept some of our other top 9th and 10th graders at home for some good practice.  But for those that did go, we got a lot of solid  performances and many personal bests.  The girls were very positive the whole meet, performed we'll and had a lot of fun.  We are hoping that they learn from this performance and  keep growing.
As for Kalley, she had a solid performance in the 300 IM Hurdles and finished in 8th out of nine in her first Elite Meet race.  If you are wanting to see all of the meet results, you can click on the Wayzata Results link above.
There will be a busy week ahead as we get closer to the big meets of May.  Tuesday will be a Varsity meet at the Blaine Invite and Thursdy will be a JV meet at Andover.  We will end the week at the Mega Meet in Sauk Rapids on Saturday.
If there are any questions please let me know
Thanks,
Denny

Centennial 9/10

The 9/10 Grade meet at Centennial will follow the normal schedule of events today.  Not everyone on the team will be going, so please make sure you have checked with your athlete to see if they are competing.  Also, this is more of an invitational, so there will be 8 total teams there and the number of athletes per event is limited.  We can have up to 5 individuals in each open event and up to 3 relay teams in each relay event.
Lastly, we were able to get one athlete into the Hamline Elite Meet on Friday evening.  Kalley Harris will be running in the 300IM Hurdles.  The rest of the team will be practicing at normal time and going to the meet that night will not be mandatory.  It would be nice for Kalley if others do go down and cheer her on.  If you are interested in going and want more information, please let me know.
Thanks,
Denny

Centennial Results

The results that we were able to get from last nights fun time at Centennial are in our results.  Many of the field events were not  completed, so at the moment I don't have those results, but the ones that I do get I will post later.  Tough conditions though and it was hard to judge how we did compared to what we are capable of.  But, the girls competed and that is all that we can ask.
Thanks and any questions, please let me know,
Denny

Shakopee Relay Results

Here is a link to last nights results for the Shakopee Relays.  You can also go above and click on Wayzata Results and find the results that way, or look at past results from a few other meets  Our individual results will be posted soon.  All of our individual results are posted on the right, including the JV Throwers that were not in the meet results.
http://wayzatatiming.com/track/2015/ShakopeeRelays/Results.htm

But it was a positive night.  We had some very good strong performances and we had many girls getting the experience of a bigger meet for the first time.  Many improvements and something that we are looking to do for every meet, have the majority of the team improve, even if by just a little.  Not worried about how we placed as a team.  The teams we went against are usually some of the better teams in the state year in and year out, so just getting the opportunity to compete against them once in a while is good to see where we are at.

Thanks and any questions, let me know,
Denny Green

Maple Grove Results

Results for yesterday's meet at Maple Grove with Blaine for our team are now posted.  There were, however, no team points or results, so I cannot tell you how we did as a team.  From what we did see there were many improvements and times are getting faster, and distances and heights are getting bigger, so we can say that it was a successful day on an overall, with still room for improvement.
If you have any questions, please let me know,
Thanks
Denny

Wednesday Results

Our individual Results for Wednesday's meet at Centennial are at the right under Team Results.  Meet Results were sent to me, but there is no link for everyone to see.  I will work on getting them posted for those who would like to see them.
But, as a team, we finished in 3rd place out of 4 teams, behind winner Centennial and 2nd place Blaine, usually two of the top teams in the Conference.  There were many positives and we did not put our best in every event, so there could have been more points for us to get.  We still have a lot of work to do though and the girls are showing improvements. Hopefully those improvements will continue and we can build to a big positive by the end of the season.
Any questions on anything, please let me know,
Thanks
Denny Green
