Mega Meet/True Team

Sorry I didn't get this posted sooner, but was waiting for a link to the results so I could put them on here, and they didn't show up until this morning.  Saturday was a tough day with the weather, and it was going to be difficult for PR's, but there were a few that were able to fight through the elements and had their best days of the season.  So here are the results: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B4VP82uerTj1NFBxT0xDd2hucWs/edit?usp=sharing&pli=1

As for tomorrow, the True Team Section Meet at Elk River, well first, the weather actually looks like it is going to be nice!!  So, I am hoping the girls will be excited and ready to see what they can do.  It is the normal schedule of events starting at 3:45.  There was no time schedule, so the events may run fast or slow, depending on if there are any issues.  The girls will go first in each event on the track.

There will be a spectator fee: $6.00 adults and $4.00 for students. Spectators should enter between the tennis courts.

The other thing that is different for this meet compared to the others, is the fact that every athlete that finishes there event or is not disqualified, will receive points.  The team that has the most points at the end of the meet will qualify for the True Team State Meet in two weeks.  Here is the scoring system:
Individual Events 27-26-25-24-23-22-21-20-19-18-17-16-15-14-13-12-11-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1

Relay Events 36-32-28-24-20-16-12-8-4

This is based on 9 teams, and three athletes per team, per event, and one relay team.  If an athlete is disqualified in their running event or scratches/no heights in their field events, they and their team get 0 points, and every one behind them moves up.  This also applies in the relay's.
