Congratulations to Kennedy M, Grace K, and Mikayla D as they each earned All Conference honors today, with Kennedy earning 3 with wins in the 100 Hurdles and the 300 IM Hurdles and a 3rd place finish in Pole Vault; Grace earning 1 with a 2nd place finish in Pole Vault; and Mikayla taking 4th in the 100m Dash. Mikayla also earned an All-Conference Honorable Mention with a 5th place finish in the 200m Dash. These girls helped the team to a 9th place finish out of the 14 team Conference, a 1/2 point out of 8th place.
As an overall, all of the Girls performed well, with many season bests in events and by individuals. We know we could have done better in a few areas, but it was still a very positive week and one that we can build on for next week as well as for next year. All of our individual results, as well as a link to the overall results, are now posted on the blog.
Next up is the Section 7AAA Meet at Forest Lake on June 1st and 3rd. Please note that the times for these two days are at different times. Wednesday the 1st the first events will be at 10:30am, and for Friday the 3rd the first events will be at 5:00pm. We were just notified of these times this week, but I will get all of the information out at the beginning of next week.
As for next Monday, athletes will need to talk with their event coaches as to when they will be practicing.
